Welcome to the World Cup of Pokemon Perfect 2023!

Callous and myself will be the hosts of this tournament!

Like last year, teams will consist of exactly eleven eligible players and the following formats will be played-
  • SS OU
  • SM OU
  • ORAS OU
  • BW OU
  • DPP OU
  • ADV OU
  • GSC OU
  • RBY OU

All matches are Best of 1 except RBY matches, which are Best of 3.

Teams may opt for playing or non-playing captains. All we need when you signup is a list of eleven players who are eligible to play and a designation of who the captain and co-captain are, regardless of whether or not those individuals are going to be actually playing.

We will only accept a tournament agreeable number of teams! We'll make sure you're only against one opposing team on any given week.

We will still allow "coalition teams" such as "Team Europe" or "Team NA".
A player can play for a coalition team if any of the following conditions are met:
  1. Their national team does not participate in the event.
  2. Their national team participates in the event, but they are not selected to represent their country. If someone wants to play for a coalition team, they have to inform the national team's captain, who has 24 hours to make a decision. If the national team's captain decides to include that player in the roster, that player has to play for their national team or sit out of the tournament. If the national team's captain decides to not include that player in their roster, they are free to play for the coalition team they are eligible for.
A coalition team can only include 4 players that do not meet condition 1.

The schedule is as follows:
  • 11/9 - 17/9: Captain Signups
  • 18/9 - 23/9: Roster Submissions
  • 25/9: Tournament start
This thread serves the purpose of an archive; the tournament will be held exclusively on our discord server. If you wish to participate, please join the server and remain there for the entirety of the tournament.

  • All the information about the 14 accepted teams is included in the spreadsheet above.

  • The structure of the tournament is as follows: after the first four weeks, the bottom four teams will be cut. The remaining ten teams will play for another two weeks, at the end of which four more teams will be cut. After the Round 1 concludes, the top six teams will advance to playoffs. The top 2 advance directly to the semifinals and the rest have to play a quarterfinal.

  • After the initial cut (after four weeks) the schedule will be (randomly) redone for the next two weeks, with no matches against teams you've already played against unless it's mathematically not possible to do so. With that said, here is the schedule for the first four weeks.
