I mean... this thread has been totally peacefully ceded to Enigami, the user that is in no way affiliated with Team Rocket.

I'm updating the OP to match the OPs for the other viability ranking threads, so the 'role' section is going to be removed and eventually replaced with analyses.

I'm also adding C Rank and D Ranks, and initially placing Golem and Ditto in C and D respectively. Feel free to discuss any Pokemon that you believe should be ranked in the 1P metagame.

Edit: Also, shifted ranks. Mew/Mewtwo are now S, and all other Pokemon have been dropped down.

Tentacruel seems pretty interesting in ubers since Zam doesn't exist and Starmie isn't as common. It could be a pretty big threat after the opponent's Mewtwo is paralyzed and Gengar if present is weakened.

Mew and Zapdos speed-tie it.

For Charizard, it's a check solely because of Flying-typing combined with Counter. Physical Mew can't OHKO Zard with Body Slam even at +6, so it can't risk attacking Zard if it has built up SDs, and trying to stall out Counter leaves openings for Zard to build up its own SDs or try to burn Mew. Only Mixed Mew doesn't have to worry about mind games against Zard.

Hyper Beam Mew and Rock Slide Mew defeat it as well.

D rank is the lowest rank there is at the moment, Ditto will probably fall farther when we fill out more ranks.

Yeah, but the speed-tie still leaves Tentacruel with a chance even if they aren't paralyzed. I don't think it'd be good, but still maybe a bit more usable than in 1U.

Fair point, though I haven't even heard of anyone using Rock Slide on Mew, Hyper Beam Mew seems pretty uncommon, and I think I'm the only one that uses Mixed Mew, so that means Charizard can still be a possible check to it.

A chance, yes, but a tiny one. If Zapdos goes first even once, it uses Thunder Wave and Tentacruel's crippled. Mew often runs Thunder Wave and/or Softboiled; Thunder Wave means Tentacruel again needs to win every speed-tie, while Softboiled "merely" means it needs to win at least six consecutive times to get the KO.
