ADV Ubers Suspect Vote

This is a vote on Soul Dew & Kyogre. For each, if Ban gets above 50%, they are banned, if Ban doesn't get above 50% & Don't Ban doesn't get above 50%, then we will have another vote after a few weeks following more testing. If Don't Ban gets above 50%, we must wait significantly longer before having the option of revisiting. If you're uncertain if either is banworthy and think you need to do more testing first, please vote to Abstain.

Why don't we wait until after frontier to do this so people actually can make informed decisions?

 

First impressions of the tier was "good lord these are so strong it's ridiculous" for myself and Dan at the very least. Frontiers are never-ending so we can do a vote whenever. Maybe it would have been best to wait a few weeks but I think there's no harm in having this vote right at the start - these two are very obviously incredibly powerful... if people think they need more time to make up their minds they can say so and are encouraged to with the abestentions.

 

1) Ban. Soul Dew is just makes the Lati twins such beasts that it forces every team to run Kyogre or Blissey with a Icy Wind just to have a safe answer. Blissey is an okay check, but allows free set up, especially if Lati has Safeguard or Refresh. Removing Soul Dew also makes the Lati twins more balanced and increases their chances of surviving the retiering process.

2) Abstain. Further testing has revealed that there are still some viable answers to Kyogre. However, I want to more testing to be done by the group before any ban is implemented.

 

actually K legacy is probably right, as voting right now is kind of hasty, even if the two are extremely good, so I'm gonna change my votes for now.

Agreed on abstaining votes till the frontier rounds start but given Soul Dew Latias's prowess in ADV Ubers it is probably getting banned on sight. It is arguably the best Pokemon in ADV Ubers and no other Pokemon influences team building as much as her (I am looking at you Registeel, Psych Up Regice).

Hmm yeah I've actually gone ahead and switched my votes to abstain as well. While I think these will most likely deserve a ban I agree that it's probably worthwhile to spend a bit more time with the meta before we make a decision.

 

I modified my vote on Kyogre to abstain. Although further testing may result in a ban, it is too early to tell.

Closing this now. Don't Ban got at least 50% in both votes. So for now, Soul Dew & Kyogre stay in the tier, and we won't have another vote for at least a month.
