Our motto is Pokémon Practice makes Pokémon Perfect. We are a competitive-battling community that encourages the development of players and their ideas, and fosters positive and respectful attitudes. We love Collaboration (working together), Competition (getting stronger), and Communication (being informed).

  3. Tiers

View Introduction to Tiers if you don't know what tiers are. Pokémon Perfect tiers are named differently to those on Smogon. A numeral followed by the letter U, e.g. 1U, 2U, 3U, represents a main tier on Pokémon Perfect – the '1' of '1U' representing the tier level. For a tier to be a main tier, it must be balanced (nothing is too powerful and game-breaking) and diverse enough (include a variety of Pokémon and strategies). A numeral followed by the letter P, e.g. 1P, 2P, 3P contain all Pokémon that are deemed overpowered in the respective 1U, 2U, 3U tiers. The 1st tier level allows Pokémon that are banned in the 2nd level, and this process continues down. Read the tier list, and in-depth explanations of the tiers naming system and tiering system. Also check out our analyses for all tiers.

  4. Tournaments

RBY 1U Seasons and its master tournaments are responsible for starting up the community, and tournaments continue to play a big role in maintaining interest in the forums. Signups Open gives you a list of tournaments you can join, and Ongoing lists tournaments that you might want to follow. Additionally, you can tap to find out approximate Schedules for tournaments.

    Tournament Format
    • Indigo Cup is an 8-man invitational in which the winners of the latest 6 cups (including the last Indigo Cup) and the latest World Champion can take part. All other slots are filled with the highest available players from the current Player Rankings. Players are assigned into two groups of 4, playing three games against everyone else in their group. The top two players of each group advance to the BO5 single elimination final round.
    • During the group stage, ties are not replayed and instead count as 0.5 points for either player.
    • The winner of the tournament is declared the Indigo Champion, qualifies for next year's Indigo Cup and receives a [IMG] trophy by their avatar!
    RBY 1U (OverUsed) Rules
    • Banned Pokemon: Mew, Mewtwo.
    • Banned Moves: Dig, Double Team, Fissure, Fly, Guillotine, Horn Drill, Minimize.
    • Clauses: Freeze Clause, Sleep Clause, Species Clause. Self-KO is a tie.
Arrange location: Visitor Messages on Pokémon Perfect Forums
    Battle location: Pokémon Showdown!

    About Deadlines
Any matches not played by the deadline are subject to activity calls by the host. Due to the generous deadline, extensions will only be granted in exceptional cases.
Both forum and simulator activity are taken into account, in addition to contact in the arrange and battle locations, for influencing whether a player has made the required effort in an unplayed match situation.

    About Matches

Players will probably gather around the Ruins of Alph channel on PS or the Smogtours or PP servers, so idle on there if you want to catch them. Please play matches in the RBY OU tier following the RBY 1U (OverUsed) rules.
If several players are tied, the games between those players are counted to determine tiebreak scores. This rule can be used recursively, so if it can only partially resolve a 3-way tie, it is to be applied again for the two remaining players. In the case a tie cannot be resolved using this rule, wins against the other (non-tied) players will be weighted based on their rank. In case of an absolutely symmetric tie, BO3 tiebreak matches can be played if needed, with the exception that the tiebreak will be BO1 for a two-player tie with a score of 1.5-1.5.
Individual sets of 3 games between the same two players will never be grouped together and considered as a single "series", since "winning" two sets of games 2-1 each is not a better or worse result than a 3-0 and a 1-2.
Play 3 games against each opponent. Ties count as 0.5 wins for both.
First 2 of each group advance to the BO5 knockout round.

Lost 0-3, ggs. RNG did not want me to freeze anything (despite having tons of ice moves thrown at unstatused mons) or win end games.

HML am Lusch Disaster Area, are you in contact with Marcop9923 ?

    Also, let me write something.
I didn't put a deadline for this tour yet because it's a very short one and with only a few players.
My idea is to give 3 weeks for the "group stage", 1 week/10 days for the "semifinals" and 1 week/10 days for the final.
I would like you all to play within these time limits.
The next cup will be in July :)

Dropping out, I'm feeling burned out with RBY right now and some of the awful luck I've had especially regarding freezes in recent games has not helped. Trying to schedule with mostly European players from America has been a real chore as well. Feel bad about not finishing the games, but since we've ran past Sunday, I'm just going to give Troller and ErPeris the wins.
