Yea, agree. Obviously including 1U is definitely possible. But not including it is equally okay for such a tour, in my opinion. I support the one player can play two tiers per week rule. Still I'd go with 6 tiers. The following is very subjective, but I think it's even fine cutting it after 4U, lokking like this (would be my personal "dream" line up):
1R (Mewbers)
1W (no big 4)
1U
2U
3U
4U

More realistically with 6 slots a combination like
1P (Ubers)/1R/1U
2U
3U
4U
5U
6U

8 tiers seems doable, 10 is still stretching it. Don't overestimate who'd play this. I'm definitely up for it. But for example (maybe I'm wrong) people like Beds or Troller who are active in seasons are not really into lower tiers

EDIT: Ah some obvious choices to include (or to have in the list) would also be STadium and Tradebacks)

 

Which of these should I do first?
- Some sort of thread or poll or something where I ascertain just how many people would be interested
- An open vote on whether to have 6 or 8 slots
- A discussion about what we should do before we can hold this tournament

I think the discussion about what we should do before we can hold this doesn't really need to happen - 3U and lower are going to be legacy, 2U is going to either be legacy or brand new post-retiering if that gets somewhere, and a vote on slots is going to be much more informed when we have an interest check to get an idea of the numbers we'd get.

 

I also like keeping it simple with the 1-6Us.

Random Battle can be the tier used for tiebreakers as they arise XD

Auction or forming own teams? (Ppl who played old tiers, should each try to make a team of their own, and teach lower tiers to the new comers)
So u can eventually drop & pick players up to form even better teams/squads :x
& to have the ultimate rby squad.
