    RBY 1U Seasons and its master tournaments are responsible for starting up the community, and tournaments continue to play a big role in maintaining interest in the forums. Signups Open gives you a list of tournaments you can join, and Ongoing lists tournaments that you might want to follow. Additionally, you can tap to find out approximate Schedules for tournaments.

BW Introduction to BW Tiering Policy

    Here is a brief description of how our BW tiering works. If you have more qustions you can send me a message.

    We have BW 1A, which is an Anything Goes-style tier: nothing is not permitted so long as it's legally obtainable on cartridge.

    We have BW 1X, which is Smogon's BW OU. We have it included in our tiering system as, when our own BW tier isn't tournament ready, it can be included instead.

    BW 1B is the Beta version of BW 1U. When the tier is finalised, it will be renamed BW 1U. If any bans occur, the Beta version of the tier will be named BW 1C.

    If you want to be involved in the tier, for now you can check out the New Frontiers tournament, which is a casual tournament designed to encourage testing of the tier. The signups thread is here. There is a thread discussing possible suspects which can be found here.

    1U is designed to be the first possible balanced and diverse tier in the generation, however in generations before BW - namely RBY, GSC, ADV, and HGSS - we consider them so established that we used Smogon's OU tier or a minor variation of it for our 1U tier.
