Maybe I'm one of the very few who dislikes the current mg. Latias gave the metagame "new life" but it also limited it too much.
Just consider that tyranitar has been in top usage for months and this has limited teambuilding a lot because it is necessary to play teams that at least discreetly support the sandstorm.
Already in 2010 the ban of latias was a sudden u-turn that changed the cards on the table towards the final of dp, after years spent playing with Latias and Salamence the mistake was admitted.
Latias alone has a lower percentage of the dp imbalance. But this is certainly not a valid reason to leave it in the OU mg.
I have heard many opinions about it and there are people who say "latias has improved the metagame and it can be a switchin on infernape" but I have always replied to these people that it is not a valid reason to play latias in OU, also because according to this reasoning also lugia should be OU (?)
If we compare latias to dragons, it means that we put it in a context where the opponents are weak 4x a ice with speed less than 110. If instead we want to compare latias to the rest, we have a pokemon with a firepower equal to that of salamence and higher than that of lucario without dance.
