  3. Tiers

    View Introduction to Tiers if you don't know what tiers are. Pokémon Perfect tiers are named differently to those on Smogon. A numeral followed by the letter U, e.g. 1U, 2U, 3U, represents a main tier on Pokémon Perfect – the '1' of '1U' representing the tier level. For a tier to be a main tier, it must be balanced (nothing is too powerful and game-breaking) and diverse enough (include a variety of Pokémon and strategies). A numeral followed by the letter P, e.g. 1P, 2P, 3P contain all Pokémon that are deemed overpowered in the respective 1U, 2U, 3U tiers. The 1st tier level allows Pokémon that are banned in the 2nd level, and this process continues down. Read the tier list, and in-depth explanations of the tiers naming system and tiering system.   4. Tournaments

    RBY 1U Seasons and its master tournaments are responsible for starting up the community, and tournaments continue to play a big role in maintaining interest in the forums. Signups Open gives you a list of tournaments you can join, and Ongoing lists tournaments that you might want to follow. Additionally, you can tap to find out approximate Schedules for tournaments.

Community Idea: Different Team Tour Scoring

    I was thinking about how, in team tournaments, if u win or lose a week, it doesn't matter if it's close or if you crush/got crushed. I was thinking maybe some sort of alternative scoring system could be interesting to experiment with.

    Here's an example of how it could work. Say that there are 10 matches between the teams. Then, here is a way we could distribute the points, for example.

    6 Points | Winning 10-0
    5 Points | Winning 8-2 or better
    4 Points | Winning
    3 Points | Tieing
    2 Points | Losing
    1 Point | Losing 2-8 or worse
    0 Points | Losing 0-10

    - Less punishing for teams that always come at least close
    - Make the final weeks more competitive as more teams have an opportunity to get through as they can earn more points if they do excellently

    - Not traditional
    - More complicated than the points based on just W/T/L

    Not proposing this for any tours atm, but I just wanted to throw the idea out there and see if people like it or think it's dumb

    This is an idea that just doesn't work and takes away every chance to have a little fun in team tours when affordable.
    Basically you are winning 0-7 and instead of having the chance of playing for fun you'd be forced into playing seriously

    That's not how it works
    in Soccer if a team loses 1-2 every week it doesn't mean they should get points because "They almost got it"
    You are rewarding consistently losing with a format like this, at the cost of not allowing any kind of fun to the players who don't wanna go for a good score and so when given the chance want to play freely.

    Not to mention that yeah, as troller said, this just makes every player match feel super pressuring, if you lose/get haxed on 0-0 you can't say "my team can recover" because you alredy lost the team one valuable point.
