  2. Welcome to Pokemon Perfect, Guest!

Our motto is Pokémon Practice makes Pokémon Perfect. We are a competitive-battling community that encourages the development of players and their ideas, and fosters positive and respectful attitudes. We love Collaboration (working together), Competition (getting stronger), and Communication (being informed).

You are free to post everywhere, unless the thread explicitly states otherwise (usually in the case of a vote), and there are no private forums whatsoever. We just require you to not make multiple accounts. Let us greet you by posting a thread in the Introduce Yourself! forum.

  3. Tiers

View Introduction to Tiers if you don't know what tiers are. Pokémon Perfect tiers are named differently to those on Smogon. A numeral followed by the letter U, e.g. 1U, 2U, 3U, represents a main tier on Pokémon Perfect – the '1' of '1U' representing the tier level. For a tier to be a main tier, it must be balanced (nothing is too powerful and game-breaking) and diverse enough (include a variety of Pokémon and strategies). A numeral followed by the letter P, e.g. 1P, 2P, 3P contain all Pokémon that are deemed overpowered in the respective 1U, 2U, 3U tiers. The 1st tier level allows Pokémon that are banned in the 2nd level, and this process continues down. Read the tier list, and in-depth explanations of the tiers naming system and tiering system. Also check out our analyses for all tiers.

  4. Tournaments

RBY 1U Seasons and its master tournaments are responsible for starting up the community, and tournaments continue to play a big role in maintaining interest in the forums. Signups Open gives you a list of tournaments you can join, and Ongoing lists tournaments that you might want to follow. Additionally, you can tap to find out approximate Schedules for tournaments.

For historical threads, check out Signups Closed, Finished tournaments and Results. We also have Nominations, Voting and Event threads for exhibitions – past and present.

    Hello everyone.

In light of Disaster Area stepping down, some changes to our staff were necessary. Moreover,Ortheore decided to step down from the GTT. He will, however, continue working on the tiering project and will be leading it from now on.

As replacements for Disaster Area and Ortheore in the GTT, tjdaas and Golden Gyarados have been chosen. Congratulations!

Since Disaster Area was going to be the host of the next RBY season, a new host is also needed. The job was given to Linkin Karp, who has done a very good job with the previous season and showed interest in hosting the next one.

More staff changes will probably be announced in the near future. They will be posted in this thread.

    Thank you

    Hello everyone,

A while ago, deluks917 decided to step down from his position of DPP season host, once the season was over. We thank deluks917 for hosting them and wish him luck in his future endeavours.

This opened a slot for DPP season host, which tjdaas volunteered to fill. Considering the excellent job he did in ADV in the past few months, it was an easy decision. However, this opened a spot for ADV Season Host. CALLOUS had approached me when Disaster Area was demoted, saying that he was interested in helping around PP once again. With this in mind and considering CALLOUS previously hosted the ADV Seasons very successfully, the GTT decided he was the right person to, once again, host the ADV seasons. Congratulations to CALLOUS and tjdaas for their new roles!

These are the last staff changes to be announced in the foreseeable future. We thank you for your attention and wish the best of luck for the new hosts.

Well, at least now we know what one needs to do to get any sort of power on this site: call it a joke and trash it openly and viciously.

    Update:

Dizno will be taking over the ADV Season Host position from Callous, after his unexpected leave earlier this week. Dizno has been playing ADV for a while now and already won a Master Tour. Furthermore, he has already successfully hosted Dewford Cup, which shows he that is a capable host. Congratulations!

On a side note, due to Callous' former and recent behaviour and actions, he will not get any position of power on Pokemon Perfect for an indeterminate amount of time.

    Update v2:

Excal asked if he could be the new HGSS Season host, because Deluks97 was leaving. Orginally the plan was that I would take over, but our policy is to give new hosts the chance as well. Moreover, this would allow me to spend more time in other places on PP and will also allow me to help the other season hosts if problems arise in their MT's. Therefore, Excal will promoted to HGSS Season Host and will host the next HGSS season. Congratulations!
